About Me

I believe in the power of design to inspire, inform, and ignite change. Every color choice, every font selection, and every pixel placement is a deliberate decision aimed at creating a meaningful impact.

Let’s create something extraordinary together!

Hey there! I’m Miranda, an award-winning graphic designer with a passion for creativity and an eye for detail. Currently, I’m in my second year of college, honing my skills in design. Proficient in tools like Adobe Creative Suite’s Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, Lightroom, After Effects, and Dreamweaver; I have a solid foundation in typography, color theory, concept development, web design, publication design, and much more!

One of my proudest design moments was winning first place in the Centre County Mental Health Community Logo Competition. This experience taught me the power of design in conveying meaningful messages. It wasn’t just a win; it was a powerful lesson in the impact design can have on the world. The competition emphasized not just aesthetics but the ability to convey meaningful messages through visuals. Creating a logo for a mental health community organization highlighted the importance of empathy and understanding in design. It was more than just crafting an image; it was about capturing the essence of hope, resilience, and support within a logo. This experience reinforced my belief that design has the power to create positive change in people’s lives. This competition underscored my belief that design is not just about making things look good; it’s about making a difference.

In my previous role as a Special Assistant at The Pennsylvania State University Multimedia & Print Center, I authored a comprehensive manual exceeding 300 pages using InDesign, showcasing my organizational skills and ability to simplify complex information. Creating this manual was a significant undertaking that allowed me to showcase not only my design skills but also my organizational skills. This experience honed my ability to present information in a coherent and accessible manner, a skill that is invaluable in the world of graphic design. Moreover, my role exposed me to the practical applications of design, especially in the realm of accessibility. I gained hands-on knowledge in designing for inclusivity, ensuring that our projects were accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities. This experience broadened my perspective, highlighting the importance of making design not just visually appealing but also universally accessible.

I’m on track to complete my Associate of Specialized Technology Degree in Graphic Arts at South Hills School of Business & Technology in June 2024. I’ve also earned an Associate of Applied Business Degree in Business Management and Marketing with honors. My coursework has covered a wide range of design-related subjects, and I’ve maintained a GPA of 4.0, earning a spot on the Dean’s List.

I’m excited to bring my passion for design to every project and continue to grow in this creative field. Thanks for checking out my portfolio!
